Say Something

Keeping Schools Safe by Training Students

In the Say Something online educational experience, students in grades 5-12 learn how they can protect themselves, their classmates and their community from shootings, violence, suicide and other harmful acts simply by saying something. We developed the experience for the national non-profit led by family members whose loved ones were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012. Through educational videos, students learn to look for warning signs and threats, especially in social media. They learn to identify peers who may be at-risk of hurting themselves or others and to “say something” to a trusted adult or call 911.
