Delivering De-Escalation & Conflict Resolution Training through eLearning

MOAB® Training International (MOAB) specializes in non-lethal force training and consulting, equipping individuals across various sectors with techniques for safely managing and de-escalating aggressive behavior. Partnering with d’Vinci, MOAB sought to transition their De-escalation Certification Training from an instructor-led format to an engaging eLearning experience.

d’Vinci transformed the program into an interactive online course using Articulate Storyline. The course covers essential topics such as strategies for preventing and diffusing aggression, effective communication methods, stages of conflict, and mental conditioning. It features professional voiceover narration, interactive scenario-based knowledge checks, and six live-action video demonstrations produced in d’Vinci’s state-of-the-art studio.

To enhance the relevance and impact for MOAB’s healthcare clients, d’Vinci created three tailored live-action video scenarios. These scenarios, filmed on location at a healthcare facility with professional actors, offer learners a chance to explore various responses through interactive content. Each scenario includes a brief introduction and three alternate endings, allowing learners to see the consequences of their choices. Post-scenario, learners engage with polling questions and group discussions to reinforce their learning.
