Helping Patients Understand their Diagnosis

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center wanted a program to help physicians educate patients about their breast cancer diagnosis.

We created a tablet-based tool that aids in a shared decision-making between the patient and the surgeon.  After going through the program, the patient understands her diagnosis, knows the treatment options and has easy access to educational materials.
